Have just discovered this website about the old school.Amazingly there was one name on the messages that i remembered.In my class in 1970 was a girl called Yasmeen Farouqi,also another called Nadia Affara.Strange how you remember certain names.I was in class 1F3 at Bryson annex.Ican also recall Lauren Russell,Linda Munro,Shirley Rafferty,Denise Wilson also a couple of lads Murdo Wilson and Eric Wilson.Is there anybody out there who remembers me? I also did a lot of sports,swimming especially.

Hi My name is John Laing, I find it a little hard to remember what class and teacher etc, but I remember 3B8 as one of my classes, the names that spring to mind are, Brian Phillips, Gary Cruickshanks, Jeremy Cochren, Joseph but I cant remember your second name, But I do remember you used to go to Johnnys slot machines in Tollcross hehe. anywho I hope someone remembers me or any of the rest of they guys.. drop me a line. take care .. I think you may have been in the same year as my aunt. My mum, Mary Boag, would have been at Boroughmuir 1939 -1942. Her sister Janet was born in March 1928, so I reckon a good chance she was in your year. Both mum and Auntie Janet still with us!!

Indeed I do remember Fanny Forrester (and Mr. Sandilands - didn't ever know his first name), characters both of them, who inspired me to become a French teacher (in Canada.)Now retired, I had a fabulous career.
Both really knew how to teach a language!
