The 2018 winner of the BFPA award is Rory Marjoribanks

"Rory has grown in strength, resilience, independence and character throughout his time in Boroughmuir.
He balances his academic work with his sporting commitments, alongside his responsibilities in school as My World of World Ambassador and Sports Ambassador.
Rory is also an excellent sports leader, who helps run the S3 boys rugby team along with Mr Ross.
Rory has been extremely conscientious over the year and worked very hard to develop his leadership skills through a range of different experiences and has been well organised, planned effectively, worked well in a team and given back to the school through a number of different events and clubs.
Rory has recently passed his UKCC level 1 rugby coaching qualification and also is a qualified level 1 rugby referee.
Rory has coached the S3s all season, never missing a training session or game.
He has also ran a multi sports club in the PE department that encourages participation. Rory has also helped with in-class support in the PE department.
Throughout the year, Rory has been a fantastic role model to younger pupils through his commitment to working with Buckstone primary school as a Sports Leader.
Rory is a reliable, committed, personable individual who is a pleasure to work with and very deserving of the Award."
